Bryan Board Of Public Affairs Holds Short Special Meeting

July 2, 2021Updated:January 5, 2022No Comments1 Min Read

By: Rebecca Miller

On Monday, June 28, 2021, the Bryan Board of Public Affairs met for a short agenda, at 5 p.m. Resolution 23-2021 “A Resolution providing for the sale, issuance, and delivery of, not to exceed $1,020, 147.24, Electric Revenue bonds for the purpose of purchasing AMI equipment for the city’s electric system, and declaring an emergency” was read.

The financing had been discussed at a previous meeting. It was determined that they should post the bonds separately, one for electric and one for water, to make auditing of these funds more accurate and efficient.

The other resolution, 24-2021, was “A resolution providing for the sale, issuance and delivery of, not to exceed $1,201,515.25, Water Revenue Bonds for the purpose of purchasing AMI equipment for the city’s water system, and declaring an emergency.”

This is very similar to the electric and is being done for the same purpose, to make for simpler auditing.

Both resolutions were approved by the Board. The Board thanked Nate Gardner, Director of Utilities for Bryan Municipal Utilities, for keeping things rolling and getting this accomplished.

With no other business or comments, the meeting adjourned.
