Panthers Fight Valiantly, Lose To Apaches

August 28, 2014Updated:December 31, 2020No Comments1 Min Read

August 26th-STRYKER: Despite Allie Frisbie 4 assists, 4 aces, and 16/17 successful serves, the Stryker Varsity girls still lost in straight sets to Fairview. In the losing effort, Maddie Uribes was a perfect 9/9 serving, also making 9 assists and 4 kills. Audra Rupp added 3 kills and 2 blocks for the Panthers.

In game 1, Stryker was competitive, but couldn’t overtake the Apaches, losing the set 17-25. Similarly, the Panthers couldn’t quite get over the hump in game 2, dropping the set 16-25. In a last ditch effort, the Stryker girls put all they had into the third set. It wasn’t enough, however, as they lost game 3 by a score of 21-25.
