On June 11, the Pettisville Board of Education met for its regular monthly meeting with members Brent Hoylman, Justin Rufenacht, Barry Hoylman, Scott Rupp, and Pam Skates in attendance.

Addressing routine items, the board approved the May 2026 meeting minutes, accepted financial reports as presented by the treasurer, and authorized the payment of bills.

LEVY RENEWAL
The board determined that revenue within the standard 10-mill property tax limit is insufficient to fund general permanent improvements, so in November, voters will be asked to renew the existing 2.50-mill permanent improvement levy for an additional five years.

According to Superintendent Josh Clark, “The district is asking for this renewal to support our facilities/facility repairs, for equipment and maintenance, and for curricular needs.”

The existing 2.50-mill permanent improvement levy was approved by voters in November 2021.

In its final order of business, the board approved a 1% increase in base salaries for all employees and administrators not covered by the PTA agreement.
