By Kay Raypholtz – THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Tons of fun was to be had in Pioneer, Ohio, on Friday, October 25, 2013, at the local library during its annual Halloween Party. Formerly known as the Freaky Fall Fest, the party featured a relay race that through an obstacle course carrying a plastic spider on a spoon, a search through the stacks of books for bones, crafts, a photo booth, a freeze-dance outside, and snacks. A total of about 40 enthusiastic costumed children attended the event. Miss Pioneer, Junior Miss Pioneer, and Little Miss Pioneer helped out during the festivities. Librarian Rose King said that they hold the event so that the area youngsters can “just have fun.” From the looks on the faces of all the excited children, this goal was definitely achieved.
