FULTON COUNTY indictments
On November 16, 2015, the Fulton County Grand Jury considered indictments charging individuals with Fulton County crimes, according to Fulton County Prosecuting Attorney Scott A. Haselman.
Bobby A. Rodriguez, age 24, of Archbold, OH, was indicted on one count of Trespass in a Habitation When a Person is Present or Likely to be Present. On or about October 26, 2015, he allegedly trespassed in a habitation in Archbold when a person was present or likely to be present.
Augustine A. Chapa, age 28, of Wauseon, OH, was indicted on one count of Domestic Violence. On or about November 7, 2015, he allegedly caused serious physical harm to a family or household member.
Jacob N. Sloan, age 22, of Lyons, OH, was indicted on one count of Felonious Assault and one count of Domestic Violence. On or about November 6, 2015, he allegedly caused serious physical harm to a family or household member.
Michael W. Hinton, age 26, of Fayette, OH, was indicted on one count of Grand Theft and one count of Receiving Stolen Property. On or about March 20, 2015 and August 15, 2015, he allegedly stole firearms and allegedly retained that property knowing or having reasonable cause to believe it was stolen.
Timothy L. Dooley, age 39, of Toledo, OH, was indicted on one count of Theft, one count of Theft From a Person in a Protected Class, and three counts of Forgery. On or about September 1, 2015 to October 11, 2015, he allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500 from an elderly person and blank checks that he allegedly forged.
Kyle A. Cervantes, age 21, of Swanton, OH, was indicted on one count of Unlawful Sexual Conduct With a Minor. On or about June 1, 2015, he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a person age 13 or older but under age 16.
It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

FULTON COUNTY COMMON PLEAS
A Toledo woman was sentenced on November 16, 2015 in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Casandra Shay, 32, previously pled guilty to Possession of Heroin. On May 17, 2015, she had Heroin in her possession. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Ms. Shay to 2 years of community control and ordered her to pay prosecution costs, including court appointed attorney fees, serve 2 days in CCNO, with credit for time served, successfully complete outpatient drug treatment and all aftercare, seek and maintain employment, stay out of bars/taverns, and a 6 month driver’s license suspension with limited driving privileges. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Shay spending 11 months in prison.
A Toledo woman was sentenced on November 20, 2015, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Kathy Nagypaul, 62, previously pled guilty to Theft. Between December 10 and December 19, 2014, she stole checks and cashed them. Judge James E. Barber sentence Ms. Nagypaul to 3 years of community control and ordered her to pay a $250 fine, have no contact with the victim, serve 60 days in CCNO, with credit for 43 days already served, complete a Theft education course, seek and maintain employment, pay full restitution to the victim, and write no checks. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Nagypaul spending 11 months in prison.

Authorities are investigating a theft at the Village Mart in Lyons, Ohio. On October 1, 2015, the business had been entered and the burglar(s) stole several cartons of Marlboro cigarettes, a couple bags of pipe tobacco and $600 in cash.

FULTON COUNTY SHERIFF
Sheriff Roy E . Miller announces that the Fulton County Sheriff’s office will be conducting a Traffic Enforcement Blitz designated “Thanksgiving Blitz”. This Blitz will run November 20th through November 29th. Deputies will be working various hours and locations around Fulton County and they will be looking for distracted driving, seatbelt, speed, and impaired driving violations. Sheriff Miller and his deputies are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Fulton County and the motorists who travel its highways. These Blitzes are being funded from a grant that was awarded to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. The grand pays for extra patrol to enforce traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadways in areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
