The Port Authority met for their regular scheduled meeting on Monday, June 8th in their conference room at 110 S Walnut St, in Bryan. The meeting was called to order by Chair Dave Newcomer at 12:00pm. Port Authority Secretary Ashley Epling then took roll call. Present were Port Authority Chair Dave Newcomer, Vice Chair/Treasurer Dawn Fitzcharles, Secretary Ashley Epling, board members: Sean Rupp, Stacy Lillard, Richard Reed, Bill Martin, and Tyler Sailer, and members of the community: Kellie Gray, Vickie Grimm, Todd Burkholder, and Don Leu. Absent for the meeting was board member Tyson Stuckey.

After roll call was taken Newcomer asked for a motion to enter into an Executive Session to discuss the consideration of the purchase of property. Motion was made by Fitzcharles, seconded by Rupp with no opposition. Executive session was entered into at 12:01pm. The board exited their Executive Session at 12:56pm with a motion form Rupp and a second by Martin.

Upon exiting the Executive Session Epling asked the board for a motion to approve the minutes from their June 24, 2024 meeting. Motion was made by Lillard, seconded by Rupp with no opposition.

Epling then went through the agenda items needing approvals from the board. The first being to authorize Newcomer to sign a Squire Patton Boggs engagement agreement. Of which was motioned for approval by Rupp and seconded by Lillard with no opposition. Then, a motion to approve the West Unity excavation expenses. Motion was made again by Rupp, seconded by Lillard and held no contest. The need for the extra excavation costs is due to the area in which the homes are being built, in that specific area the sewer connections are between 10 and 11 feet down, verses the typical 5 to 8 feet.

The last item discussed was for a motion to approve the Andelynn Homes proposal to build house plan A1002 at 109 King St in Stryker for $148,000. This is a new design which is for a 3 bedroom 2 full bathroom home with a 1 car garage. A motion to approve was made by Lillard and seconded by Martin with no opposition.

Before adjourning the board quickly discussed that they are still looking for property lots at this time. They do have a few in Montpelier they are considering. With no other business to discuss a motion by Martin was made at 1:02pm to adjourn the meeting, which was seconded by Reed with no opposition.

The Port Authority will hold their next regular meeting at 110 S Walnut St, Bryan in their conference room on July 22, 2024 at 12pm.
