PT Link Physical Therapy celebrated the relocation of its Swanton clinic with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, April 29, marking a new chapter for the business in the downtown community.
The clinic has moved to 99 N. Main Street after previously operating from a location off Airport Highway. The Swanton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the ribbon cutting to welcome the business to its new space.

Mike Coulter and Sam Rakyta said PT Link has been serving the Swanton area since 2017. The company began in the Toledo and Sylvania area and has since grown to 32 clinics across Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
Coulter said the move was made largely because of the visibility and connection offered by the downtown location.
While the new clinic is similar in size to the previous space, he said the Main Street frontage gives PT Link a stronger presence in the community.
Rakyta said the downtown setting also gives the clinic more opportunity to be part of community events and local activity.
“We want to be able to be more where things are happening, to be able to be more ingrained in the community and be involved more in community events,” he said.
The clinic offers physical therapy services for a wide range of needs, including neck pain, back pain, knee pain, dizziness, balance concerns, difficulty walking, and recovery before or after surgery.
Services also include hands-on therapy, exercise, stretching, strengthening, dry needling, cupping, traction, and ultrasound-guided dry needling.
Coulter said PT Link’s approach focuses on smaller clinics that allow staff members to give patients more individual attention.
He said the goal is to help patients return to daily life, work, sports, and other activities with less pain and better function.
The Swanton location also includes staff members who have already developed relationships with patients in the area. Rakyta said physical therapy assistants Katie and Allison have worked in Swanton for several years and have helped build a familiar and welcoming environment for patients.
Coulter said PT Link works to create a clinic atmosphere that feels upbeat and personal, rather than routine or impersonal.
“People come here and they say they feel like family when they leave,” he said.
With its move downtown, PT Link officials said the goal is to continue building those relationships while making the clinic more visible and accessible to the Swanton community.
The new location gives the clinic a stronger presence in the heart of the village, while allowing staff to continue offering the same personal care patients have come to know.
