Robert A. Douglass

DouglassRobert A. Douglass, 65, of Pioneer passed away Sunday morning at Genesis Health Care -Bryan Center.  He was born on April 24, 1950 in Hudson, Michigan to Donald F. and Onnalee (Entricken) Douglass.  Bob graduated from Waldron High School in 1968.  He married Onnaliesa M. Clark and she survives.

Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Pioneer American Legion.  In 2013 he retired from Universal Industrial Products in Pioneer.

He is survived by his wife Onnaliesa; four sons, Troy (Amy) Douglass of Whitehouse, Ohio, Chad M. Douglass, Jamie J. Douglass and Casy L. Douglass all of Pioneer; ten grandchildren; one brother Roger (Gary) Douglass of Toledo; and two sisters Karen (Marvin) Wampler of Frontier, Michigan and Sharol (Cliff) Mann of Waldron, Michigan.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and one son Cody Douglass in 2013.

Visitation for Bob will be on Wednesday, February 17th from 4-8pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.  Services will be on Thursday at 10:30am at Salem Mennonite Church on Tripp Road in Hillsdale County, Michigan with Cliff D. Brubaker to officiate.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery on Burt Road in Hillsdale County.  Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with final expenses.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
