Robert Charles “Bob” Isaacson Jr., 71, of Whitehouse, OH, died at home unexpectedly Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Born December 5, 1946, in Adrian, MI, he was the son of the late Robert and Vivian Evelyn (Colson) Isaacson. Bob lived his formative years in Addison, MI, and attended Addison High School, where he was a drum major and he played several sports. He graduated with the Class of 1965. Later that same year on August 22, 1965, he married the love of his life, Carolee Kingsley, in Manitou Beach, MI. She survives.
Bob was employed with Chrysler Corporation as a toolmaker for 35 years before his retirement in 2001. Bob was an avid sports fan, especially when the University of Michigan or the Detroit Tigers were playing. He enjoyed softball, fishing, camping, sail-boating, carpentry, auto and computer repair. He was active in his church, supported his wife and family in their endeavors, and led both a Boy Scout troop and a baton and drum corp. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, particularly swimming and bike riding.
Surviving to mourn his loss in addition to his wife of over 52 years , Carol, are their children, Tracy (Thomas) Cass of Toledo, Toni (Glenn) Christiansen of Pett isville, and Todd (Kelly) Isaacson of Toledo; his siblings, Richard Walworth of Denton, TX, Milton (Margaret) Walworth of Thornton, CO, Paul (Gladys) Walworth of Richmond, TX, and Chris (Martha) Isaacson of West Branch, MI; eight grandchildren, Christina, Aimee, Thomas, Jessa, Sarah, Matthew, Riley, and Spencer; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Bob will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette (412 W. Main St., Fayette, OH 43521). Private burial will follow in the Pleasant View Union Cemetery in Fayette. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday for two hours prior to the service, beginning at noon.
