Roger Grime (1944 – 2024)

Roger William Grime, 80, of Reynoldsburg, passed the morning of Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Roger was born on August 18, 1944 in Adrian, Michigan to the late William Joseph and Lavina (Tuckerman) Grime. He married Elizabeth Ensley on June 24, 1972 and she survives.

Along with his wife, Roger is survived by his loving children, Jacki (Robert) Ahern, William Grime, Sarah Grime, and Amanda (Cory) Mangas; grandchildren, Alli, Dani, Jude, Edie, Reese, and Marlee; and many other family members and friends.


Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings, Lee Grime, Susan Wagner, and Kathleen Galbraith, and nephew, John Peter Grime.

Roger graduated from Delta High School in 1962. He went on to obtain his Bachelors in Spanish, with a minor in English from Bowling Green State University in 1966. After graduating from college, he taught Spanish and English for several years at various school districts in Ohio.

Roger later went on to work for the State of Ohio as an administrator. He also spent many years working with non-profits to provide housing and services for low-income seniors and the disabled. Throughout his career, he impacted the world with his great work ethic, leadership, and integrity.


Roger was known for being a simple but loving man. When he was not at work, Roger loved to hunt, read (especially about history) and spend time with his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Roger’s life will be held at 11:00 am, January 9, 2025 at St. Caspar Catholic Church, 1205 N. Shoop Ave, Wauseon, OH 43567. Family will greet friends and family from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on January 9, at the church. Burial to follow Mass at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Archbold, Ohio.
