Roger L. Steusloff, age 79, of Delta, passed away Friday afternoon, July 16, 2021 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. He was born in Swanton, Ohio on November 17, 1941 to the late Ralph Steusloff and Ruth (Eicher) Steusloff. Roger was a graduate of Swanton High School.
On June 15, 1963 he married Janet Krauss and she preceded him in death on March 30, 2016. For over 20 years he drove truck for Scottdel Trucking in Swanton.
Roger was a homebody by description, but the highlight of his day was visiting with friends at the Swanton McDonalds. During their discussions they covered many topics, including politics and solving world problems.
He is survived by his son, David (Patty) Steusloff of Liberty Center, brothers, Raymond, Mike and Tom Steusloff; grandson, Mason Hill; step grandchildren, Heather (Curtis) Switzer and Ashley (Kevin) Mignin; great grandson, Brady; step great grandchildren, Avery, Ivy, Leah and Maddie.
In addition to his parents and wife, Janet, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Steusloff.
Friends and family will be received at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon; where a funeral service honoring Roger’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday. Pastor Matthew Voyer will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor Street, Delta, Ohio 43515 in Roger’s memory.
