WEST UNITY – The Hilltop Lady Cadets racked up yet another win on December 11, riding Sam Lillemon’s double-double to a 55-45 non-conference win over Liberty Center.
The Ladies in Red jumped out of the gates at full speed and never looked back. A 19-6 first period lead was trimmed back to an 11-point advantage at the half. A late rally by the Lady Tigers failed to get the deficit below double digits at the final buzzer.
Lillemon posted 13 points and grabbed a dozen boards for Hilltop, with Hannah Bleikamp adding 11 points and Jackie Smith 10. Cierra Carpenter had 9 points, LeAnn Joost added 8 points, Destiny Denton drained a field goal, and Emily Armbruster put in a pair of free throws, along with 9 assists and 5 steals.
