Sandra (Meyers) Thatcher, 65 died November 27, 2024 at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center. Sandy was born December 27, 1958 in Napoleon to Marian and Marvin Meyers.

Sandy attended and graduated from Archbold High School in 1976.

In October 1981, Sandy married the love of her life Tom Thatcher at St. Martin’s Lutheran, Archbold. Together, they lived and worked in Archbold for the next 43 years.

Sandy volunteered in many capacities at St. Martin’s. She and her son Justin were active in the community dinner program while Sandy also shared her talents in the sewing and quilting group.

She worked at the Scrapbook Korner from its founding, allowing her to grow her hobby into something everyone would enjoy. All who received one of Sandy’s handmade cards and invitations will cherish them forever.

Sandy loved her flowers. When she wasn’t scrapbooking, she could be found out in her flowerbeds or fussing over her three water gardens.

With rural life also comes 4-H. Supporting their sons through their various 4-H projects was very important to both Sandy and Tom. She was so proud of Mark, Kiel and Justin in their endeavors. When the time came her pride expanded to her granddaughter Emma as well.

Traveling was a passion for Sandy. From family vacations to Colorado, Mackinac City and the Upper Peninsula to excursions with her sister Sherry, down both east and west coasts, Sandy was always ready for a new adventure.
