Friday, February 3 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Archbold 61, Bryan 48

Archbold used a 19-11 first half lead to carry them through the remainder of the NWOAL battle for the win.  The remaining three quarters were virtually even as the Bluestreaks improved to 12-4 on the season. Evan Smith led Bryan (9-8, 2-2) with 15 points while Jaden Valderas added 14.

Swanton 55, Patrick Henry 35

Gunnar Oakes took the game into his own hands and led the Bulldogs to their seventh win of the season. Oakes led all scorers with 18 points. Duyane Goings and Randy Slink contributed with seven point apiece in support.


Evergreen 52, Delta 43

Wauseon 56, Liberty Center 25

Edon 46, Fayette 42

The Bombers (3-13, 2-8) were paced by Braden Miller’s 17 and Brayden Bauer’s 14 point performances. 11 of Miller’s points came in the important fourth quarter as Edon held a 32-30 lead after three. Travis Wagner led Fayette (6-11, 3-6) with 15 points.

Pettisville 56, Stryker 39

The Blackbirds notched win no. 11 with the dominating performance over the Bombers. Pettisville had three players in double figures including Gabe Beck with 17, Landon Roth and Dillon King each with 11 points. Colton Benson led Stryker (4-13, 3-6) with 10.

Montpelier 71, North Central 51


This BBC battle was close until the fourth quarter. The Locos (10-7, 5-5) had the lead 42-37 leading into the final quarter then exploded for 29 points over the span to run away from the Eagles. Familiar names led the scoring for Montpelier as Kolden Uribes poured in 24 points followed closely by Michael Blake’s 23. Jacob Bailey supported with 13.  Josh Rosener and Nick Henry finished with 12 and 10 points to lead North Central (5-13, 3-6).

BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL

Fayette 31, Edon 17

Tanner Lemley led the Eagles with eight points and Noah Bingman along with Jose Aguillar added six points apiece in the win. Nathan Myers led Edon with five points.

Pettisville 48, Stryker 31

The Blackbird captured the lead in the second quarter and never gave it up after for the 17-point BBC win. Three Blackbirds finished in double figures with Sam Rychener 13, Noah Rocha 11 and Logan Rufenacht 10 points. Stryker was led by Daniel Fether who was the game’s leading scorer with 16 points.

North Central 35, Montpelier 32

The Eagles broke out to a 13-3 opening quarter lead and then held off a 13-9 Montpelier advantage in the final period to win the BBC contest. The Eagles’ Jack Bailey led with 12 points. Collin Houk led the Locos with 11 points.
