The Stars of 4-H recently held their ninth meeting of the year at the First Church of Christ in Bryan, Ohio. Attendance was taken. No secretary’s or treasurer’s reports were given.

Under old business, members were reminded of judging dates for miscellaneous, clothing, and food projects for the week of July 13th. Chicken BBQ ticket money was handed in to advisors. The 4-H Chicken BBQ was held on July 23. The club took a canoe trip on July 26. A design for the fair booth at this year’s Williams County Fair was voted on. More planning for the booth will happen during the next few club meetings.

Under new business, members were reminded to get an early livestock judging appointment at the extension office by July 30 if they are unable to attend the regular livestock judging event on August 13. Mock judging for the livestock judging will be at the next club meeting.

Demonstrations were given by Haley Maxcy and Cole Uran. The Cloverbuds made Sponge Bombs and also started a community service project making blankets for children in hospitals. Snacks were served. Members then met individually with advisors for mock judging on their miscellaneous, clothing, and food projects.

The next meeting will be on Sunday, August 9 at the First Church of Christ in Bryan, Ohio at 7 p.m.
