TIFFIN – A small but highly talented contingent will represent the Northwestern Ohio area at the upcoming D-III State Track and Field Championships. Sydney Stoll of Edon will be participating in the 100 and 300 hurdles events, while Emily Rupp and Christine Huston of Stryker will go for the gold in the 400 and the high jump, respectively.[emember_protected custom_msg=”Full content protected for online subscribers. The May 29 and 31 D-III Tiffin Regionals saw Stoll qualifying for Columbus with a third place finish in the 100 hurdles. The 300 hurdles, the event for which she holds the Buckeye Border Conference record, is the other event for which she qualified, this time as the D-III Regional Champion with a time of 45.60 seconds.
The toughest competition of the season saw Emily Rupp edged out of the 100 and 200 qualifications, but she rebounded to place second in the 400, punching her ticket to Columbus. Huston took the second place finish in the high jump to join Rupp as she makes her final trip to Columbus as a Lady Panther.
