The Village of Edgerton welcomed a team of teen volunteers from a group that calls themselves Teen Serve.

The group is traveling across the nation painting houses for the summer in order to make a difference in a variety of different communities and to beautify homes that may not be able to otherwise have the best outward appearance.

Along with painting homes they also have dedicated themselves to making small repairs which not only benefits the homeowner for free, but also help the youth to gain skills they may have not otherwise had the opportunity to obtain.

This year the youth were hosted in Butler, IN, traveling to neighboring cities and towns making home repairs and painting homes. The group this year was comprised of over 200 teenagers, all of whom stayed in the high school.

Edgerton was picked for two different home projects, which have now been completed. The group of teens who were able to serve in Edgerton were from various places across the nation and beyond, including Texas, Minnesota, and even Canada.
