BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Hilltop 72, Stryker 67 – The Cadets (13-9, 8-2) closed out the 2015-16 regular season with the BCC win as Tim Manvel scored 26 points and Quinn Smith added 21 points. Maneval got 10 of his points from the foul line in the win. Ryan Brooker added 10 points for the Cadets. Stryker’s (3-7, 3-19) top three scorers were Luke Holsopple with 20 points, Chad Ruffer with 18 and Hayden Clingaman 14 point.

Fayette 55, Edon 19 – Joel Smith had 13 points and Jerad Seiler added 12 and Tristian Bates finished with 10 points as the Eagles eased to their 21st victory of the season.  Fayette (21-1, 10-0) broke the game open during the second quarter outscoring Edon 16-2.  Edon (3-7, 4-18) was led by Jim Pechham’s five points.

Pettisville 40, North Central 25 – After a 17-11 advantage at the half, the Blackbird (6-4, 7-15) went on a 13-4 tear in the third quarter to put the game away. Justin Rupp led Pettisville with 11 points and Evan King added nine. The Eagles’ (0-10, 1-21) Josh Bailey pulled down 18 rebounds and they were led in scoring with Josh Roesener’s seven points.

Wauseon 67, Montpelier 36 –  Wauseon (7-1, 19-3) grabbed a share of the NWOAL championship coupled with Bryan’s win over Archbold. The Indians dominated play from the tip off as they outscored the Montpelier 22-6 in the first quarter.  Michael Blake was in double figures for the Locomotives (3-5, 11-9) with 12 points.  Austin Rotroff Led Wauseon with 18 points while Chase Brock added 11 and Carter Bzovi finished with 10.

Swanton 68, Liberty Center 65 (OT) – The Bulldogs (6-2, 19-3) used 30 points from Gunnar Oakes to squeak by Liberty Center (4-4, 10-13) in overtime.  Bryce McComb added 11 points for the winners.

Bryan 67, Archbold 54 – (No game stats received)

Delta 42, Evergreen 29 – (No game stats received)


BOYS JV BASKETBALL

Stryker 41, Hilltop 37 – This game came down the to wire and it was only because the Panthers outlast Hilltop over the final eight minutes by winning the fourth quarter 13-10 to secure the victory. Chase Glock led Stryker with 12 points and Andrew Denton had 10 points for Hilltop.

Pettisville 33, North Central 26 – The Blackbirds ended their season on a positive note as they were led by Detric Yoder’s 10 points. In the loss, Keean Livensparger and Cody Tomblin were the Eagles high-point men with 12 and 10 points respectively.

1 Mtr. Diving:  Patience Bachman. Wauseon            4th place          385.50 points.

 

Division II BOYS

200 Freestyle: Nicholas Dilworth, Wauseon  2nd place          1:45.82

500 Freestyle: Nicholas Dilworth, Wauseon   1st place           4:44.15

                        Austin Schuette, Wauseon      1st place           4:44.66

1 Mtr. Diving: Tony Schweinhagen, Wauseon 8th place         382.50 points.
