EDON — Edgerton pushed across a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning as the Bulldogs held off Edon, 9-7, in non-league action at G. Kent Adams Field.
Noah Weaver led a 14-hit attack for the Bulldogs (1-1), going 4 for 4 at the plate with a pair of doubles and drove in two runs. Maddox Baker, Kellen Sanchez and Jackson Flower each had two hits. Baker also belted a home run.
Korbin Olds drove in two runs for Edon (0-2) with a pair of hits including a double.
Sanchez was the winning pitcher in relief for Edgerton. He allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
