DEFIANCE – Archbold grabbed a third-place finish in the 18-team Defiance Girls Golf Invitational held on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Eagle Rock Golf Club.
Anthony Wayne claimed the team title with a score of 358, followed by Sylvania Northview (368), Archbold (387), Defiance (389), Wauseon (406), Napoleon (420), Delta (425), Delphos St. Johns (432), Lima Shawnee (445), Ayersville (454), Sylvania Southview (458), Bryan (483), Tinora (502), Notre Dame Academy (518), Archbold 2 (529), Edgerton (no team score), Fairview (no team score) and Hicksville (no team score).
Ava Hesselschwardt of Defiance captured individual medalist honors with a 71. Ella Yoder led Archbold with a score of 91, followed by Brie Grime (98), Makenna Bickel (99) and Kali Lantz (99).
Hayden Konieczka led Wauseon with an 86, followed by Kali Spangler (102), Alexis Perez (103) and Julia Lugabihl (115).
Mackenzie Grahn led Delta with an 85, followed by Aubree Perdew (105), Sophie Ford (113) and Ana Gilders (122).
Bryan was led by Claire Struble, who shot a 105, followed by Eden Alyanakian (121), Zoey Gillett (127) and Kenlee Vansteenkiste (130).
Callie Guelde led Archbold 2 with a 116, followed by Ava Piercefield (137), Sophia Mendez (138) and Addison Dominique (138).
Aaliyah Spangler competed individually for Edgerton and finished with an 18-hole score of 145.
