MONTPELIER — Montpelier took advantage of 13 walks and a 15-run third-inning outburst as the Locos trimmed North Central, 17-1, in non-conference action.
Neriah Thorp led the Locos (1-2) at the plate with three hits and drove in four runs. Rowan Brown had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs.
Cailyn Meyers collected three singles and an RBI for North Central (0-3). Thorp was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits with four strikeouts and four walks.
