Vernon L. Mull, age 89, of Delta, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Fulton Manor in Wauseon under Hospice Care.
He was born in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio to Ora F. and Edith (Kline) Mull on January 29, 1935.
He moved to Delta at the age of 2 and lived in the same house for 76 1/2 years before leaving the home farm and moving 2 houses down the road.
On March 27, 1955 he married Carol (Siegel) Mull and she preceded him in death in April 2011. To this marriage they were blessed with five children; Michael (Alyse) Mull, Denise (Ted) Howard, Steve (Kathy) Mull, Ron Mull, Lisa (Bob) Cass.
Vernon was a member of the former United Methodist Church in Delta. Most recently he attended Winameg Christian Church of Delta.
He was a member of the Aetna Grange for over 60 years. A member of the Fulton County Fair Board for 23 years. He was inducted into the Agricultural Hall of Fame at the Fulton County Fair. He was a lifelong area farmer and also put in farm drainage tile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol, and son Michael; six brothers and four sisters.
Surviving is his special friend, Kate Parker; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beth McGowen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Vernon will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Junior Fair Building at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. Funeral services will be also be held in the Junior Fair Building, at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 17, 2024, with Pastor Jim Mann, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
The family wishes memorial contributions be given to Winameg Christian Church of Delta, Fulton County Fair Foundation, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
