Village of Delta residents gathered downtown this past weekend to celebrate the annual Winterfest Celebration put on by the Delta Chamber of Commerce. Festivities were held on Saturday, December 7th, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Residents were encouraged to come out, shop local, enjoy live music, kids activities, hot dogs, hot cocoa and cookies.
Santa even flew to Delta just to meet all of the kids for photos in the Memorial Hall. Local businesses also filled Memorial Hall and Givers Hall with kids activities and merchant opportunities.
Later at 5:00 p.m., a tree lighting ceremony was held downtown, before everyone got ready for the parade. At 6:00 p.m. the parade began by turn off of Adrian Street to head East on Main Street.
A large crowd of residents filled the sidewalk areas, with children gathering and leaving with a good amount of candy.
