The Williams County Commissioners held an unique session on Monday, November 6, as they met at Cup O’ Joy at Edgerton to meet with their constituents for a cup of coffee and chit chat before their regular session.

There were quite a few people at the meeting, including Mr. Krill’s government class from Edgerton High School, who came to watch and learn about the commissioners and all that they do.

Commissioners Lew Hilkert, Terry Rummel, and Bart Westfall shared what they found to be the hardest part of their jobs, with answers ranging from managing the county’s many employees to dealing with bureaucratic red tape.

Clerk Anne Retcher and Deputy Clerk Robin Kemp were both present as well, and shared how difficult it is to keep track of all three of the commissioners’ busy schedules.

Everyone present got a closer look at the inner workings of their local government, and the commissioners seemed happy to have people interested in the hard work they do for Williams County.
