WILLIAMS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: Six Resolutions Passed, Marsh Foundation Recognized

THREE RESOLUTIONS … Three resolutions were passed on Thursday, September 7, 2023 approving shared costs for child placement for Job and Family Services, also known as JFS.

The Williams County Commissioners held one general session last week on Thursday, September 7.

Meeting at 9 a.m., Commissioners Lew Hilkert, Bart Westfall, and Terry Rummel began their meeting by first approving Resolution 23-0263, which approved transfer requests on behalf of the Williams County Auditor, Engineers Office, Job, and Family Services (JFS), and the Soil and Water Conservation District.


The approval of Resolution 23-0264, Resolution 23-0265, and Resolution 266 endorsed MOUs (memorandums of understanding) for JFS for shared costs for child placement until Dec. 31 of 2023.

Resolution 267 amended an agreement for child placement with the Marsh Foundation termed through Dec. 31, 2023.

With the approval of this resolution, Commissioner Rummel shared that he had the pleasure of having toured the Marsh Foundation, and expounded on the wonderful things they are doing for troubled boys.

The Commissioners then signed the monthly financial report from the county, the monthly and weekly dog warden reports, and the minutes of their Aug. 31, 2023 meeting and bills as presented.


They went into recess at 9:18 a.m. until their 9:30 a.m. bid opening, and then met at 10 a.m., passing Resolution 23-0268, which approved the issuance of bonds for the completion of projects for Parkview Health.
