The Williams County Grand Jury convened on Wednesday, May 26 and returned indictments against twenty-four individuals facing a total of forty charges. Those indicted include:
Jason W. Clevenger, 39, of Williams County was indicted for Abusing Harmful Intoxicants, a fifth-degree felony. Clevenger is charged with possessing or using an inhaled duster with the purpose of inducing intoxication or similar physiological effects on or about May 10, 2021, after having previously been convicted of a similar offense by the Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Jessica L. Conrad, 34, of Williams County was indicted on two counts of Aggravated Possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Conrad is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine and fentanyl on or about September 7, 2020.
Christopher S. Davis, 46, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Davis possessed or used methamphetamine on or about August 15, 2020.
Gene E. Ferrell, 44, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Ferrell is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about February 19, 2021.
Trevor J. Gallant, 32, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Gallant is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about October 21, 2020.
Joshua L. Grubb, 31, of Williams County was indicted for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drug of Abuse, a fourth-degree felony. Grubb is accused of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or other drug of abuse on or about May 21, 2021, after having been convicted of three or more similar violations within the preceding ten years.
William L. Holcomb, 33, of Delta was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a third-degree felony. Holcomb is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about October 21, 2020.
Justin L. Lantow, 32, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Lantow is charged with possessing or using methamphetamine on or about September 13, 2020.
Nicholas J. Larkin, 37, of Defiance was indicted on a total of five charges including two counts of Aggravated Robbery, each a first-degree felony; two counts of Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle, each a fourth-degree felony; and one count of Attempted Burglary, a third-degree felony. The charges stem from incidents occurring on or about December 14, 2020, when it is alleged that Larkin used a knife to commit theft offenses, which included breaking into a property in Alvordton as well as the theft of two motor vehicles.
Brandon S. Lyons, 28, of Edon was indicted for Possession of Heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Lyons is accused of possessing or using Heroin on or about August 15, 2020.
Julie A. Kelleher, 37, of Montpelier was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Kelleher is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about August 15, 2020.
Otis T. King, 68, of Toledo was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that King possessed or used methamphetamine on or about September 21, 2020.
John K. Shaffer, 60, of Bryan was indicted for Domestic Violence, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Shaffer caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a household member on or about May 10, 2021, after having been previously convicted of a similar offense by the Bryan Municipal Court.
Michael A. Shiftlett, II, of Williams County was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Shiftett possessed or used methamphetamine on or about August 31, 2020.
Curtis J. Stanley, 29, of Delta was indicted for Possession of Cocaine. Stanley is accused of possessing or using cocaine on or about October 21, 2020.
Nicole L. Stewart, 40, of Montpelier was indicted for Failure to Appear, a fourth-degree felony. Stewart is charged with not appearing as required by the court in connection to a previous felony offense.
David C. Taylor, Jr., 29, of Montpelier was indicted on a total of four counts including one count of Possession of Heroin, a fifth-degree felony; one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a second-degree felony; one count of Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of a Police Officer, a third-degree felony; and one count of Having Weapons while under Disability, also a third-degree felony. Taylor is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine and Heroin as well as a loaded firearm on May 23, 2021, all while being a fugitive from justice. Taylor is additionally charged with failing to stop his motor vehicle as directed by a police officer on that date.
Darrel Turner, 26, of Hillsdale, Michigan was indicted for Failure to Notify Change of Address, a fourth-degree felony. Turner is charged with failing to register with the Sheriff of Williams County in April of 2021 that his address had changed, a condition which had been ordered by the 2B District Court of Hillsdale County during a 2014 court proceeding.
Jordan A. Weber, 27, of Bryan was indicted for Insurance Fraud, a fifth-degree felony. Weber is accused of making a false insurance claim in the amount of $6800 on or about October 7, 2019.
Allen S. Williams, 43, of Bryan was indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of Failure to Appear, a fourth-degree felony. Williams is charged with possessing or using methamphetamine on or about March 31, 2021 as well as failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.
Cyera C. Witt, 29, of Williams County was indicted for Possession of Heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Witt is charged with possessing or using Heroin on or about May 23, 2021.
Jeffrey L. Woods, Jr., 37, of Williams County was indicted on one count of Rape, a first-degree felony. Woods is accused of compelling another to engage in sexual conduct by use of force or threat of force on or about November 18, 2020.
Trevor A. Zachrich, 23, of Stryker was indicted on a total of eight counts including one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, and seven courts of Breaking and Entering, each a fifth-degree felony.
Zachrich is accused of breaking into property owned by Woolace Electric on November 27, December 5, December 12, December 20, January 17, and January 23 with the purpose of committing theft offenses as well as committing a theft in the amount of $4011.59 on July 1, 2020.
Jonas L. Zuver, 38, of Montpelier was indicted on one count of Receiving Stolen Property and one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Zuver is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about April 4, 2021 as well as receiving a 2001 Suzuki 600 motorcycle, which he had reasonable cause to believe was stolen, on or about April 10, 2021.
It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
