HAMLER – As the Lady Patriots of Patrick Henry welcomed in the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville on February 5, their rankings in the AP Division IV polls had just been upgraded from #6 to #5. The Ladybirds were able to hang tough with their hosts for the first eight minutes, but then the Patriots showed that their ranking was not an accident, outscoring Pettisville 47-26 the rest of the way out for a 54-35 win.
Lauren Hostetler drained a trio of treys for 9 points to lead the Ladybirds, with Audra Klopfenstein, Mikala Avina and Dana Fricke each getting 8 points, and Amber Klopfenstein 2 points for the 11-8 Pettisville ladies.
