Roger E. Blough, age 64, of Bryan, completed his life journey on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at his home.

Roger was a man who loved his family and friends…which included everyone he met. He was a strong, compassionate leader to all he met in Northwest Ohio and beyond. He used his strengths as he accomplished his duties as the Bryan Police Chaplain, as President and leader with the Sanctuary Shelter and the Bryan Area Ministerial Association.

He was lead pastor at the Bryan Nazarene Church since 2001. He held many positions and was very passionate about working with pastors and their studies for ministry with the District NWO Church of the Nazarene and denomination. Roger had many hobbies and interests, from hunting, music, sports, reading to learning billions of pieces of trivia.

Roger E. Blough was born on June 14, 1954 in Owosso, Michigan, the son of Galen E. and Grace M. (Easterday) Blough. His foster parents were Charlotte and William Boger. He married Jackie S. McElwain on June 12, 1976 in Three Oaks, Michigan. In 1982 they moved to Bowling Green, Ohio where Roger co-owned Gateway Graphics and worked at the Nazarene Church as an associate pastor.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jackie; children, Jason T. Blough, Brad and Bev Stossel and Nick Reza; grandchildren, Grace, Eve and Mia; siblings, Edwin and Sharon Blough, Jim and Kay Blough, Linda Spoerr, Galen “Skip” and Patti Blough, Don and Barb Boger and Judy and Allen Lofton, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom were loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, foster parents, brother, Marlin Blough and sister, Carol Weekkley.

Visitation for Pastor Blough will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 P.M. at the Bryan Church of the Nazarene Family Life Center, 312 Townline Road, Bryan. A service celebrating his life will be held in the church on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. Service arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Bryan Church of the Nazarene, Community Health Professionals Hospice or Wells for Africa.
