Anita Ruth Nichols (1922-2013)

Nichols, Anita_NEWAnita Ruth Nichols, 91, of Pittsford, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Drews Country Living in Hillsdale.  She was born February 22, 1922 in Montpelier, Ohio, to John & Edith (Creek) Beek.  She was married September 26, 1943 to Glenn Nichols and he preceded her in death in 1985.

Mrs. Nichols was a lifelong area resident and a 1940 graduate of Montpelier High School.  A retired farm wife and factory worker in Hudson, working at Tri-State and L.N. Manufacturing.  She attended the Liberty Bible Church in Pittsford.

Surviving are 3 sons, Steven (Pattie) Nichols of North Adams, Tom (Rose Mary) Nichols of Hillsdale and Tim (Lorie) Nichols of Hillsdale; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nichols are Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Lorie Nichols and Dr. Samuel Wickard officiating.  Interment will follow at Leonardson Cemetery in Pittsford.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at the funeral home.
