Kitty Castor, age 81, was born in rural Kentucky on September 21, 1938 to the late William and Sophia (Price) Black. She died on November 29, 2019 in her home at Fairlawn Apartments in Archbold, Ohio. She was a member of Grace Community Church of Bryan, Ohio.
She married Alvin Entenman, January 2, 1960, and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1993. Then on June 24, 2006 she married Lowell Castor, and he preceded her in death in March 2016.
As a member of Grace Community Church, Kitty loved volunteer work and helping others. She was awarded volunteer of the year but never looked for a return for her generosity. She was such a warm and friendly person that all who knew her felt honored to call her friend, mom and grandma.
She is survived by 3 children; Paul (Jackie) Conway, Shelia Santiago, Mavis Annette (Dennis) Hageman, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter (Tenia Entenman), a son-in-law (Orlando Santiago), and 12 brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, at 11:30 AM December 14, 2019 at Short Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Byroads officiating. Private interment will follow in Edgerton Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home Saturday, December 14 between 10:00 am – 11:30 am.
Short Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to Grace Community Church or charity of choice.
