Ruth Ann Osborne, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 7:42 A.M. on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio.
Ruth Ann worked as a meat cutter for Kroger’s in Bryan and Defiance, babysat, and also worked at TOMCO and Shastar in Bryan. She was a member of New Hope Community Church and volunteered her time with Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers and served many years on the Board of QUADCO.
Ruth Ann was born on March 22, 1939, in St. Marys, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Lulu (Seewer) Whetstone. She married Dale D. Osborne on December 31, 1961, and he preceded her in death.
Ruth Ann is survived by her sons, Ivan Osborne, of Celina, Ohio, and Eric Osborne, of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Tamela “Tammy” Bucy, of Celina; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Evelyn) Whetstone, of Celina; and sister, Mary (Junior) Boroff, of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-grandchildren, Eli and Everly Young; brothers, Freeman, Glen and Paul Whetstone; and sisters, Beatrice Miller, Gail Becker and Norma Poppe.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M., immediately following visitation, with Pastor Mark Pittman officiating. Ruth Ann will be laid to rest at Fountain Grove Cemetery at a later date.
