Suzanne M. Casey (née Stuckey) passed away peacefully Friday morning, August 7 in Benton, Illinois. Sue was born near Archbold, Ohio on April 1, 1936 to Marlin K. Stuckey and Consolo G. Stuckey (née Allison).

Sue was a very faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Benton. She enjoyed music, especially choral singing, and throughout her life she sang in numerous choirs in Benton and Cedar Key, Florida. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Sweet Adelines, and the Red Hat Society.

An expert sewer, Sue loved to make or mend clothing for her family. She doted on her dogs and had a particular fondness for miniature Schnauzers. Her grandchildren remember her unwavering kindness and love and will miss her near constant stream of small, thoughtful gifts.

She is survived by her husband Charles Casey; brother Darrell Stuckey of Lakeland, FL; grandson Joshua Byron Smith and wife Lora Walsh, of Fayetteville, AR, with their son Zadok Owen and daughters Aletta Fontabel and Tamsin Elizabeth; grandson Alex Tyler Smith and wife Amanda, of Benton, IL, with their daughter Alivia JoAnn; granddaughter Anna Elizabeth Lane and husband Randy, of St. Louis, MO, with their son Oliver Francis; daughter-in-law Julie Smith, of Benton IL; stepsons Rick (Lesa) Casey and Randy (Jenny) Casey, both of Benton IL, and stepdaughter Tammy (Mark) Rehbock of Romeoville, IL; and many other step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she cared for and loved.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother William A. Stuckey, her sister Fontabel Stuckey, and her son Charles Byron Smith.

In accordance with her wishes, a small graveside service will be held at Pettisville Mennonite Cemetery near Archbold, Ohio. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements.
