James “Jim” Grime, age 71, of Wauseon, Ohio, passed away November 3, 2020 at the Laurels of Defiance. Prior to his retirement, Jim worked for Ohio Department of Transportation for over 30 years.
Jim was born on May 30, 1949, to the late Dale and Lucille (Zimmerman) Grime. He graduated from Pettisville in 1967. He married Adene Grime, who preceded him in death. He later married Judy Merillat, and she survives. Jim was an avid hunter and a big Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving Jim is his wife, Judy; daughter, Valerie Grime; son, Lyle (Donna) Pontious; son, Scott (Kristin) Pontious; step-daughter, Tiffani Pike; step-son, Tyson Pike; many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ron (Nancy) Grime; sister, Diane (Joel) Michael; and sister, Pam Grime. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Adene Grime; and sister, Patricia Baumgartner.
All services will be private with burial at Wauseon Union Cemetery. Maryann Reimund will officiate the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Wauseon Fire Department.
