Raymond E Allen (WEB)Raymond E. Allen, 79, of Montpelier passed away May 25, 2014 at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. He was born on September 10, 1934 in Dekalb County, Indiana to Perry Melvin and Rose Florence (Dyer) Allen. Ray graduated from West Unity High School in 1954, then earned his accounting degree from Fort Wayne Business College. On July 26, 1980 he married Helen Jeanine Salmon in Montpelier, and she survives.

Ray was a member of the House of Prayer in Montpelier. Ray worked for 20 years at the Bryan Kmart as a stock person. He also worked in the produce department at Chief in Bryan and at the Montpelier Sterling Store.

He is survived by his wife Helen Jeanine and brother Daniel (Kathy) Allen of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Edna Mae and Frances.
