William “Bill” Glore (1943-2020)

William L. “Bill” Glore, age 77, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 9:50 P.M. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Glore was a graduate of Bryan High School and was employed by Ohio Gas Company as a construction superintendent, retiring with forty-five years of service. He also was a gas line consultant for USDI for twelve years following his retirement.

He had a lifelong passion for farming and enjoyed raising livestock and other farm animals. He loved the outdoors, nature, fishing, camping, cutting firewood and hunting, especially bow hunting. He was a pheasant conservationist and served as an officer in the Williams County Conservation League.

Bill was a modest man and good provider whose family was the center of his life. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his great-grandchildren, spending time at the lake cottage on Jimmerson Lake.

William L. “Bill” Glore was born on April 1, 1943, in Napoleon, Ohio, the son of Carl and Wilma (Kenning) Glore. He married Beverly A. Blaisdell on October 18, 1963, in Bryan and she survives.

Surviving in addion to his wife are one son, Daniel (Andi) Glore, of Bryan; three grandchildren, Courtney (Brian) Bashore, Jacob (Hannah) Glore, and Tres Loyd, all of Bryan; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Bashore and Aurelia Glore; and one sister, Jeanne (Bob) Rupp, in Florida.


He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brenda Sue Glore; a son, Mark W. Glore; and a sister, Gail Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, Ohio. Services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Homer Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.

Memorials are requested to Williams County Conservation League, Pheasants Forever or Community Health Professionals Home Care and Hospice.


Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. The family requests visitors use masks in accordance with state mandates. Anyone showing any symptoms of illness is asked to please share condolences by a phone call, email, text message, or leaving a condolence at the funeral home website.

    My sympathy to you & your family. Its been quite a while since we’ve seen Bill. He was always so nice. I’m a first cousin. Charles Glore was my Dad. Again condolences to you. Pat Glore Spiess.
