The August 15, 2021 Blakeslee Village Council met at 7 p.m. with Council members Cody Reynolds, Eric Jenkins, Bob Mohre and Rosemary Thiel present for the meeting.

They voted to approve the minutes for the July meeting and accept Village Clerk, Beth Rediger’s report that revenue since the last meeting was $7,047.18 and expenses were $2,278.

Rediger also reported that she has spoken with Michelle Ryder at ARS as the village contract for trash pickup is almost up, and called Tim Sutter at Toledo Edison to see if there is a cheaper Aggregation program to which the village could connect.

There was some discussion concerning Metalink putting up a tower on a piece of property that Bob Thiel is selling them.

Council signed a letter to LINK Investments explaining that the village has no intention of abandoning Adams St., which would cause that property to be landlocked.

Mayor Linda Muehlfeld informed council that Big Trash Day will be October 16 and that County Engineer Todd Roth has informed her that the hills they had him check into are too steep for a remote mower.

Police Chief Randy Mohre gave his monthly report as well, for an uneventful month of July.
