It is time for comfy sweaters, warm drinks, pretty colors, crunching leaves, and Barn Fest.

The 44th Annual Barn Fest kicked off at 10 am Sept 25th at the McDonald-Ruff Ice Area in Bryan. The Newlyn Quest Club ran the event. The Newlyn-Quest Club is a women’s organization committed to fund-raising to support the needs of Williams County.

Vendors from all over came as well as hundreds of people. The day started rainy and cold and a lot were afraid of what the day was going to turn out to be. But the clouds went away, the sun came out, and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day.

There was homemade kettle corn and giant chocolate chip cookies. The smell of the homemade iron pot vegetable beef soup followed you everywhere you went. And it tasted as good as it smelled.

Everywhere you looked was smiling faces, fall and winter décor items, pumpkins, flowers, and music. There was a place to sit and take pictures with your family and friends, beautiful mums all over, and some of the sweetest people you ever met.

The vendors crafts ranged from wreaths, yard signs, Christmas trees, and flowers to honey, jewelry, doll clothes and paintings.

The wide range of items available surely meant there was “something for everyone”. If you went to Barn Fest I’m sure you will agree that this will be an event you will want to attend every year.

Newlyn Quest has given back over $274,500 to the community. If you would like to make a free-will donation you can do so at Farmers & Merchants State Bank in care of Newlyn Quest or through Venmo @Newlyn-Quest
