(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost issued the following statement regarding yesterday’s ruling by the U.S. District Court of Eastern Kentucky enjoining the federal vaccine mandate for federal contractors:

“This is not about vaccines, it’s about the mandates,” Yost said. “The judge’s opinion clearly states that and it has been our position all along that the president cannot impose these mandates on the people.”

Dave Yost, like every other politician, is a publicity whore. He pines to be governor, so he panders to the lowest common denominator. Why do we elect our State’s lawyer anyway? The US Attorney General is a member of POTUS’s cabinet, and thus appointed. Why not have all these statewide officers who fancy themselves future governors just be appointed by the governor? It would be cheaper.

    Big Bob,
At least no one is saying Dave Yost is an alleged lawbreaker, unlike local political hacks Jeff Robinson and Scott Haselman ( unlawful interest in a public contract and obstruction of justice, respectively) who got away with their crimes.

True, Old C, but that’s still a pretty low bar for expectations, even for the political class. Anyway, hope you are well and maybe I’ll see you in person at the BMV….because I know I won’t see you in the courthouse! LOL

    Big Bob,
No, you won’t see me in the courthouse….but you’d be hard pressed to see much of anyone else there besides those who work in it and the usual suspects (wink). All that money they spent on renovating the place and it gets less and less foot traffic. It’s more like a museum….except they splurged for one of those as well. I guess our governing elites know better than you and me.

Yeah, but did Robinson personally profit from the renovations, or help his business cronies to, the way he did when the county bought that building back in 2011, the name of which I cannot remember for some reason. But like you said, we just need to trust our governing elites because they know more than we do.
