Jackie (Jack) L. Frey, 54, died October 23, 2012 in a motorcycle accident in rural Fulton County.

Jack was born in Wauseon, Ohio on October 19, 1958 to Richard and Ellen (Prowant) Frey. He married Carol Jones Frey on June 21, 1986. They have three sons; Alex, Lincoln and Dominic all at home. Jack lived his entire life in the Wauseon area.

He worked most of his career as Clinton Township Superintendent. Jack additionally worked as a cemetery caretaker and sales representative for Fackler Monuments.

Jack always supported his sons for many athletic events. He took many photos at events where he enjoyed cheering all the athletes who were competing. Jack’s photos were often featured in many local papers. His interests included gardening, tending his grapevines and fruit trees. With any remaining spare time, he would often be found hunting or planning a fishing trip.

Jack had a heart for Jesus and lived and shared his faith wherever he was. He faithfully attended the Fayette Nazarene Church where he was a member of their board, taught Sunday School for over 20 years and lead worship. Jack also attended two area Bible Studies. Jack touched many people by living out his faith.

He was the president of the Pettisville Athletic Boosters. Jack and Carol were previously Pettisville Jr/Sr Prom chairpersons and managers of the Pettisville Music Booster Fair Booth.

He is survived by his wife, sons, parents and three siblings: Richard (Angela) of Sylvania, Fred (Elaine) of West Unity and Mary Jane (MJ) of Goshen, IN. Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother: Wendell.

Visitation will be held at the Fayette Church of the Nazarene, 511 S. Fayette Street, Fayette, OH on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2-8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Pettisville Cemetary, Pettisville, OH on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 9:30 am. followed by a Memorial Service at the Fayette Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 am.

Arrangements are being handled by Shorts Funeral Home, Archbold, OH. Condolensences can be left on their website at www.ShortFuneralHome.com. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the agency of the donors’ choice.

The family wishes to thank everyone for the many gestures of support and prayers. We will always be inspired by the gift that Jack was to each of us and are confident he is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.
