The Delta Village Council held their meeting on Monday, August 1st. The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.

Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on July 18th before the mayor asked if anyone in attendance would like to address council.

With no one wishing to speak, Village Administrator Brad Peebles spoke to council. In addition to the written report presented to council, Peebles stated that 108 park surveys had been received out of the 1,350 that were delivered to the post office.

Peebles stated that he thought this was a good response and that the results will be tabulated.

The finance director then asked for approval for the paying of invoices, which was passed by council. A discussion then took place regarding the addition of military flags on the upcoming wall.

Peebles said that he will look into pricing for the idea. It was then asked to hold a Village Services Meeting on August 15th at 4:30 p.m.

With no other business on the agenda, council moved to enter into executive session.

Following the first executive session, Peebles spoke about the annexation petition. Regarding the petition, he spoke about a cooperative agreement that would be offered to the York Township Trustees for the maintaining of one-half of County Road 10, north of Airport Highway to the annexation line which is one-half mile.

Council moved to approve the cooperative agreement draft for York Township.

A draft letter was also discussed, to be sent out to York and Pike Township, the Fulton County Commissioners and Pike-Delta-York Schools pertaining to the position of council regarding the annexing of 500 plus acres, which is expected to be approved.

This land would be put into the Post 94 CRA program, which will distribute 50 percent of the tax base back to the taxing entities.

Executive session was then entered in two more times. Following those executive sessions, council moved to adjourn for the evening.
