Norma Johnston (1928-2023)

Norma L. Johnston, age 94, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 5:15 P.M. on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Johnston was a 1946 graduate of Edgerton High School and had been employed by Universal Tool in Butler, Indiana, retiring with more than thirty years of service.

She was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide.

She enjoyed her Friday coffee dates with her daughters, traveling and reading. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.

Norma L. Johnston was born on November 24, 1928, in Delta, Ohio, the daughter of Paul and Alisa(Fuller) Entenman. She married Dennis M. Johnston on June 7, 1975, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2015.


Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Randles, of Edgerton, Deb (Bill) Nester, of Edon, Ohio, and Penny (Dennis) Smith, of Edgerton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Fay Dean (Linda) Entenman, of Edgerton; her stepchildren, Chuck (Linda) Johnston, of West Unity, Ohio, Sandra (Richard) Bible, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Kathy (Neal) Hug, of Edgerton; seven step-grandchildren; nineteen step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her close friend and companion, Willard Hollinger, of Edgerton.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Marvin, Edwin, Alvin, Richard, Fredrick “Fritz” and Arthur Entenman; four sisters, Pauline Entenman, Ruby Ross, Helen Gifford and Louise Weimer; and one great-grandchild, Zeva Hartman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Jeff Brookins officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.


Memorials are requested to the Edgerton Church of Christ or the Williams County Humane Society.
