Christopher C. Cummins, age 51, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at his home.

Chris was a mechanical engineer at Kenley Enterprises. He was a former member of the Lake Seneca Board and the Montpelier Moose.

Chris was an avid Kansas City Chief’s fan who cheered them to victory in the Super Bowl.

He also enjoyed playing pool, foosball and darts, golf and frisbee golf, casinos and hiking in the mountains.


Chris loved lake life- swimming, pontooning and spending time by the water.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and kids.

Chris was born on September 30, 1971, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of LaMar and Margaret E. (Cahill) Cummins.

He married Aundrea R. Carey on August 16, 2003 in Stowe, Vermont and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2019.


He married Rhonda R. (Smith) Kolakowski earlier in the day of Saturday, April 1, 2023 and she survives.

Chris is also survived by his beloved son, Kaden Cummins, of Montpelier; mother, Margie Cummins, of Bryan; sister, Beth (Adam) Roberts, of Bryan; brother, James Cummins, of Bryan; stepchildren, William, Kyle, Dale Sheila and Lukas Kolakowski; step grandchildren, Kora and Kali Kolakowski and nephews, Seth (Bilha) Roberts, of Oregon, Ohio, Kolby Roberts, of Piscataway, New Jersey and Kyle Roberts, of Bryan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Goeltzenleuchter; his daughter, Annaliese Makinna Cummins; first wife, Aundrea Cummins and father, LaMar Cummins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 3:00-6:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.


Funeral services will be held immediately following with Pastor Mark Holbrook officiating. The family encourages everyone to wear something Hawaiian themed (bright colors, Hawaiian shirts/dresses or any other Hawaiian attire to honor Chris. Private interment will take place at Shiffler Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the family for funeral expenses and anything extra will go towards Kaden’s college fund.
