

In 1950 Jack became the co-owner and editor of the Leader Enterprise with his brother William. At that time they also purchased the Edon Commercial, the Edgerton Earth, and the Tri-State Shopping News, now known as the County Line.
Jack is survived by two sons, Geoffrey (Sharon) Bryce of LaGrange Park, Illinois and Joel (Nancy) Bryce of Bryan; three step-daughters, Pamela (Mike) Rader of Traverse City, Michigan, Vicki (Jon) Hake of Edon, Ohio and Toni (Kevin) McCourt of Montpelier; one sister-in-law Jeanette Miller of Montpelier, twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lee, and a brother William in 1968.
Visitation for Jack will be on Thursday, May 14 from 2-4 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Thursday at 4pm with military rites provided by the Montpelier Veterans. A private interment will be on Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Grand Ledge, Michigan.
