Edward-Miller-WEBEdward P. Miller, 85 years, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, where he had been a resident the past week. Edward was born June 11, 1930 in Sturgis, Michigan, the son of the late William and Emma (Hart) Miller. He married Kathryn V. Kennedy on January 31, 1951 in Defiance, and she preceded him in death on October 13, 1996. Ed was employed by Bricker’s Plating for 25 years, retiring in 1992. Ed found enjoyment in watching western movies, college football, rooting for the Michigan State Spartans, taking walks and spending time with his dog, Dice.

Surviving are his two daughters, Kathy Miller of Montpelier and Karen Fisher of Bryan; seven grandchildren, Sherri (Randy) Bowers of Montpelier, Brent (Amanda) Miller of Montpelier, Scottie Miller and her companion Courtney Montagu of Bryan, Jason Miller, Justin Miller, Jeremy and Jolene; four great-grandchildren, Becca Bowers, Ryan Bowers, Macy Miller and Adrianna Springer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Kathryn, one son, Eddie Miller, one brother, William D. Miller and two sisters, Leona Smith and Vivian Repp.

There will be no visitation and private graveside services will be held in Brown Cemetery with Pastor Janet Strickland officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions made in Edward’s name be given to the American Heart Association.
