FAYETTE – Pettisville ended a three-game losing streak as the Blackbirds trimmed Fayette 52-27, to remain unbeaten in Buckeye Border Conference action.
Alex Galvin led the Blackbirds (6-4, 2-0) with 23 points, 17 of those points coming in the first half along with four trifectas. Jack Leppelmeier had 17 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists.
The Blackbirds were 19 of 45 for 42 percent from the floor, 5 of 8 from the line along with 28 rebounds and three turnovers.
Carter Lavinder topped Fayette (3-8, 0-2) with nine points, as the Eagles have dropped six in a row. The Eagles were 9 of 36 for 25 percent from the floor, 7 of 11 from the line along with 20 rebounds and six turnovers.
