The Franklin Township Trustees met for their regular session on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 7 p.m. with all members present and one guest in attendance.
The meeting was called to order, after which trustees moved into approval of pending agenda items. Minutes from the February 9 meeting were presented and approved.
The February bank reconciliation was then reviewed, providing an update on the township’s financial standing. Trustees next considered current bills, which were presented for review. After discussion, a motion was made and approved to pay the bills as submitted.
Road maintenance was then a topic of discussion during the meeting, with trustees reviewing plans for crack sealing on multiple township roadways.
Areas discussed included County Road 26-1, County Road 26-2 extending to County Road 20A from County Road L, and County Road HJ from County Road 19 to County Road 20. The conversation focused on maintaining roadway conditions and addressing areas in need of preventative maintenance.
In other business, trustees received an update regarding Ohio property tax reform information that had been shared at a recent county-level meeting.
The update provided insight into potential changes and ongoing discussions at the state level that could impact local taxpayers and township operations.
With no further business brought before the board, the meeting adjourned at 8:09 p.m. following an approved motion.
