The Clinton Township Trustees held their meeting on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The meeting began at 1 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer, followed by approval of the June 1 regular meeting minutes, approval of the June 18 agenda, and approval to pay bills as presented.

A large portion of the meeting focused on possible levy issues for the November 3, 2026, ballot, with trustees approving four separate resolutions asking the Fulton County Auditor to provide tax levy information.

The requests include information for an additional 1.00 mill fire levy, an additional 1.00 mill road levy, a renewal 0.15 mill cemetery levy, and a renewal 0.30 mill current expense levy, with each of these requests being passed as resolutions.

Fiscal Officer Nancy Yackee presented financial reports for review and signatures, including payment and receipt listings, appropriation and revenue reports, a cash summary by fund, and a fund status report for each trustee.

In old business, trustees continued discussion on an addition to the old salt shed, which is still waiting on state approval. The board also discussed the old Senior Center building and the possibility of selling the property. Roadside mowing was reported as completed.

In zoning business, the board discussed a request involving 2589 County Road 13, where a wedding venue building is being considered. The building would be considered commercial, meaning the property would need to be rezoned. Trustees also discussed advertising for a zoning inspector.

In road department business, Road Superintendent Eric Eyer reported that Jason Mansfield had contacted him about a water issue on his property.

Eyer also reported that the aerial truck needed work after the air conditioning went out, and that the department spent five days in Pettisville chipping brush from storm damage.

Under cemetery business, it was noted that the cemetery board met Wednesday. The township pancake and sausage breakfast will be held the Saturday of the Threshers Convention at the fairgrounds.

The next Clinton Township Trustees meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
