Lyle L. “Bud” EverettsLyle L. “Bud” Everetts, 94, of Bryan passed away Saturday afternoon at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  He was born on October 5, 1921 in Troy Township, Indiana to Gilbert and Maude (Betts) Everetts.  Bud married June Ann Pike on May 3, 1948 in Angola, Indiana.

Bud was a heavy equipment operator for Holderman Construction for approximately 16 years out of Columbus.  He also worked for Lanenderfer Construction in Toledo and retired from Gerkins Construction in Napoleon after 4 years.  Bud operated a Grader for most of his work.

He is survived by his wife June; one daughter Kathy L. Calvin of Bryan; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Sampson of West Unity and Christin Calvin of Toledo; and four great grandchildren, Kaleb, Lily, Joshua and Trinity.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, son Charles W. Everetts, son-in-law Gary Calvin and his siblings, Gertrude Betts, Charles Everetts, Andrew Everetts, Joe Everetts, Harriet Fritch, Gladys Smart, Theodore Everetts, Helen Casebere, Earl Everetts, Gilbert Everetts and Evangeline Harrison.

Visitation for Bud will be on Wednesday December 30, 2015 from 11 am-1 pm at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street in Montpelier.   Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Becky Ploughe to officiate.  Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.


 Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
