Max-Jermeay-WEBMax Jack Jermeay, 77 years, of West Unity, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance.  Max was born June 22, 1938 in Britton, Michigan, the son of the late William and Christina (Todd) Jermeay.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict.  Max married Carol A. Roy on April 12, 1958 in Bryan, and she survives.  Max was employed as a machine set-up person working for Universal Products in Pioneer for 15 years.  He attended Living Hope Free Methodist Church, West Unity.  Max enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, spending time bird watching, and making sure that he fed the birds and squirrels.  He also loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Surviving is his wife, Carol of West Unity; seven children, Mark (Barb) Jermeay of Ney, Ohio, Dawn (Keith) Jones of West Unity, Crystal Hamp of West Unity, Hank Jermeay of West Unity. Keith Jermeay of West Unity, Lisa (Dan) Woodring of West Unity and Jackquline Jermeay of West Unity; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five siblings, Vivian Yekisa of Archbold, Frankie (Gordon) Robey of West Unity, Diane Bethel of Hillsdale, Michigan, Roger Jermeay of Jonesville, Michigan and Bonnie Brehm of Addison, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Max Jack Jermeay, Jr.; one granddaughter, Ashley L. Jermeay; three brothers, Charles, William and Utah Jermeay; three sisters, Luella Miller, Mildred Wisley and Barbara Clark.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, 6817 State Route 66 North, Defiance, Ohio 43512 or to Living Hope Free Methodist Church, 1051 West Jackson Street, P.O. Box  483, West Unity, Ohio 43570.
