David M. DeVault, 62 years, of Defiance, passed away early Sunday, February 25, 2018 in his home.  David was born September 26, 1955 in Defiance, the son of the late John and Betty (Keys) DeVault, Jr.  He was a 1974 graduate of Tinora High School.  Dave married Patricia A. May on June 19, 1981 in Defiance, and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2014.  Dave was currently a press operator for Allied Moulded Products in Bryan.  Previously he worked for Certified Oil Company in Bryan as an assistant manager, and in Paulding at Certified Oil Company and at Defiance Highway Oil.  Dave enjoyed watching professional wrestling on television, listening to music on YouTube and keeping in touch with family and friends through Facebook.

Surviving is his son, Jason (Angela Bursiek) DeVault of Defiance; one sister, Connie (Neil) Seimet of Defiance; four brothers, Ron (Carol) DeVault of Stryker, Tim (Glenda) DeVault of Defiance, Jerry DeVault of Angola, Indiana and Dennis (Dee) DeVault of Montpelier.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia.

Visitation for David M. DeVault will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood. Funeral services for David will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Doseck officiating.
